Hong Kong's youth sailing scene reached a new milestone this week, as Margaux Nguyen-Minh clinched an incredible 3rd place in the Girls Division at the World Championship in Portorož, Slovenia.
A New Era for Hong Kong Youth Sailing
The Optimist Worlds is one of the most prestigious youth sailing events globally, drawing the top young sailors from over 50 nations. In 2025, Team Hong Kong delivered a record-breaking performance, finishing 14th out of 52 countries in the Nations Cup—an exceptional result that highlights the talent and dedication of our young athletes. This finish also marks the best overall result ever for Team Hong Kong on the world stage.
